ALAT (Aviation Légère de l’Armée de Terre)
    AA (Armée de l’Air)

This is a four year contract, at a value of just under €8 million, is significant to HISL’s future growth.

This contract will provide job security for the Aircrew section at the Stranraer site. After completing development and approval testing, which will take 14 months, it is anticipated that another 10-15 jobs will be created at the Stranraer plant in 2013.

Currently, investment is already taking place in Stranraer for the production of the Joint Strike Fighter (F35) helmet. This includes an upgrade to the quality system to meet the requirements of Rockwell Collins Inc. and Lockheed Martin. Inc. Quality requirements of the French contract are equally stringent with the direct involvement of DGA personnel.
