Decontamination Shelters

Decontamination Shelters

Shelters for the purpose of decontamination are structures where people can be washed down to remove the hazardous chemicals or biohazards that they have been exposed to on their body or clothing. Types of decontamination shelters include soft wall shelters, which are special tents that have been quickly set up in an emergency zone. Hard wall shelters, by contrast, may be portable container structures which are tightly sealed. Inflatable shelters also exist which are light and easy to set up.
